BONTADINI NEGROAMARO SALENTO IGP - 2017 (ITALY, SALENTO)
S$45.00

Availability: In stock

Concentrated, soft and fruitful

Bontadini Negroamaro is deep red in the glass with slight violet markings. The aroma is one of intense ripe berries. The taste is deliciously concentrated and medium full-bodied, with a pleasant, clean fruity character and a delightfully soft aftertaste. This is a perfect all-round wine and goes well with either Mediterranean cuisine, grilled meat or game and aromatic cheese.
Serving temperature: 1518°C.

Vinification

The wine is produced from Negroamaro grapes which grow in Salento in the southern part of Apulia. The soil is red and rich in clay while the climate is hot with light breezes from the Mediterranean, which encourages the grapes to develop perfectly and to offer plenty of power and intensity. The grapes are processed traditionally and aged in stainless steel tanks under controlled temperatures to retain as much fruit as possible in the wine. The Apulia (or Puglia in Italian) region forms the heel of the characteristic boot and it is not without reason that it has acquired the nickname of "Europe's wine cellar." The production of wine in this region is among the 10 largest in the world. Growth conditions here are extremely favourable, so the grapes give more yield than in any other region. The winters are warm and the summers hot and humid.
