FIORINO TOSCANA ROSSO IGP - 2015 (ITALY, TUSCANY)
S$45.00

Availability: In stock

Rich, spicy, harmonious

Fiorino has a beautiful deep colour with an intense core. The fragrance is marked by the Sangiovese grape's classic cherry notes and a lightly spiced hint of basil. The taste is full-bodied, rich in fruit and with notes of cherry, blueberry and a touch of spice.

This is a round and full-bodied wine with silky soft tannins from barrel ageing. This is the perfect companion to Italian dishes such as pasta, pizza and cheese.
Serving Temperature: 15-18°C.

Vinification

Fiorino is produced from the Sangiovese grape mixed with Merlot and Cabernet types. Sangiovese also forms the backbone of famous wines such as Brunello and Chianti Classico. The grapes are harvested from fields in the Tuscany region and made into wine using traditional methods. Fiorino is aged for 9 months in oak barrels. Tuscany is the most important and most famous wine region in Central Italy. Rolling hills fill two-thirds of the Tuscan landscape and the wine fields are located at heights of between 150 and 500 metres above sea level. The climate is ideal for the cultivation of grapes, and the Sangiovese grape in particular enjoys optimal conditions in the region. Fiorino has the classification IGP, Indicazione Geografica Protetta, a wine category that was introduced into Italy by law in 1992. The producer has a little more room to play within this classification than it could with the stringent Chianti legislation.
