DIAMOND HILL SHIRAZ MERLOT (AUSTRALIA, SOUTH EASTERN AUSTRALIA)
S$28.00

Availability: Out of stock

Powerful and juicy

Diamond Hill Shiraz Merlot has a beautiful dark red colour with violet reflexes and an expansive aroma of ripe fruits. The taste is powerful, with a spiced fullness and ripe tannins from the Shiraz grape combined with a softness and warmth from the Merlot grape.

The wine makes a great accompaniment to red meat, spicy dishes, lamb, veal and cheese.
Serving temperature: 16-18°C.

Vinification

The grapes are ripened under the influence of bright sunshine, and are completely ripened by the time of the February harvest. After picking early in the morning, the still cool bunches are destalked and pressed. Fermentation takes place at a low controlled temperature to preserve the rich fruitiness of the grapes in the final wine.

The producer

Since 2000, Diamond Hill has been a guarantee of good quality wine. The people behind the Diamond Hill concept wanted to show that Australia can deliver much more than just Shiraz. In fact, the vast continent has over 70 different grape varietals to offer. Diamond Hill wanted to concentrate on South Eastern Australia, and chose to focus on a total of four different wines from select fields in the region. With the two red wines, one white wine and one rosé wine, Diamond Hill perfectly demonstrates the essence and diversity of wines from South Eastern Australia. Every single one of these wines is an exquisite gem, as symbolised by the well-known diamond-shaped logo. Over the years Diamond Hill has achieved great recognition for its wine.
