Crisp, fresh and juicy

Rosedale Ridge Shiraz Rosé presents as intense and elegantly pink in the glass. In its aroma you are confronted with tones of ripe raspberries and a lightly spiced twist. In the mouth the wine is experienced as pleasant and refreshing with notes of red berries such as raspberries and This refreshing rosé wine should be enjoyed chilled, in good company and ideally with a fresh salad, white meat or pasta.

Vinification

The most cultivated grape in South Eastern Australia is Shiraz, a grape that has over the years become Australia's trademark and pride and quite possibly the closest variety the country has to a national grape. By nature the Shiraz grape has a strong structure, and over several generations the Australians have learned to master the grape to perfection. In this rosé wine all the finesse and elegance come into their own and display the concentration of the grape. Due to abundant hours of sunshine the grapes are harvested with a high skin colour content which helps to make a rosé wine with a deep pink colour. Rosedale Ridge Rosé is no exception. Victoria, New South Wales and South Australia fall under South Eastern Australia. This is a very large area and is responsible for a significant amount of the total Australian wine production. This fact is due in no small part to the high quality and marketability of the wine. The soil in these areas is composed of clay, sand and chalk deposited by rivers. The dry climate makes it necessary to irrigate the wine fields. Irrigation in the region is however limited, and the vines are given only an amount of water that is absolutely necessary to ensure that the grape clusters achieve perfect maturity for harvesting. The result is grapes harvested with a great intensity of flavour.
